Eighteenth Birthday Presents

Eighteenth birthday presents can be difficult to choose, especially for a lad such as a nephew, friend of the family or one of your children’s best friends. Something personal is needed that will last a long time but not go out of fashion or be forgotten within a week.  I have recently found this to my cost and so can talk with a lot of experience on this matter, as my son is now that age and subsequently so are lots of his friends. This gift buying problem equally applies to 21st and other significant birthdays for the males of our species.

A handmade to measure English bridle leather belt of a classic style with enough adjustment to stand a chance of seeing him through to his 40th is the answer to your quandary and with my experience a quick chat or an email will allow me to determine all the requirements of size, style and colour but should that prove horribly wrong, I will always exchange it after the event.

Which style do they go for? The Cropthorne tops the list along with Worcester, Broadway and Kensington belts which can all be ordered in the full range of colours and buckle finishes. Variations on their style, such as an extra keeper or different buckle / width, are also available by special request as can be seen sported by the fine lads in the picture who shall remain anonymous for reasons well known to themselves.

I very much hope that this solves the dilemma and I am confident the intended recipient will not be disappointed.

Tricia Vaughan's reply...

I bought a Piccadilly in London Tan & Solid Brass for my friends Son for his 18th birthday (I'm quite a regular customer). My friend liked it so much she bought the same one for my Son's 18th (so she is a new customer).
Just to share the love, I had also bought a different belt for her Husband's 50th .... that was a Walton Bridle in Nut with Brass.
Highly recommend them and Tim was vey helpful in ensuring the perfect fit and 'room for growth' !
