The ‘Hardy’ gun slip, named after its eponymous designer and shown in Pittards Mahogany Panel Hide & Nut Bridle leathers, is made to measure for the discerning shot who appreciates the importance of protecting his favourite gun; a top English make, a European masterpiece or simply the special gun you enjoy shooting with. Developed from years of experience in the field it has evolved while Tim Hardy has used his own now 15 year old version regularly on formal, walked up days and clay shooting. This helps enormously in producing a gun slip that has many advantages over the multitude of others all very similar in design and with seemingly only variations in quality and price.
The Bridle and Saddlery leathers are English and of the best quality to ensure it can take all the weather, mud, hedges, dogs and vehicle trials encountered during the shooting day. The lining is real sheepskin being natural shearling fleece from the West Country which adds protection and also breathability to help wick away moisture and avoid the condensation which a hot gun will create when it cools after a day of top drives.
How and why is it made?
English leathers are hand selected and cut, with hand stitching to the bridle leather handles and trims ensure the strongest construction and unfailing portability. Fittings in solid brass and the strongest zips available which run the full length of the slip and under the flap section for extra security. (Although we cannot guarantee them for ever, we can replace them if after many years or an accident they should fail.)
The ‘block end’ is hand formed and hand sewn in bridle leather and provides an extremely durable ‘case’ for the all too vulnerable muzzles – a costly repair if damaged but all too often not considered by many makers of similar items! The bridle leather rib not only gives protection to the rib and barrels of the gun but also keeps the slip from folding which always leads to the cracking seen on many old examples without this feature.
Why all of this?
The finished result will see its owner enjoy shooting days with the reassurance that it will not let him down and become a permanent fixture for all his and many others future shooting experiences. All in all we like to make this to last for life and longer whilst providing a comparable accessory to the best guns – it’s far from cheap but then like great guns, a part of its maker is within!

Double Slips in Mahogany & Nut
I bought a pair of gun slips, made to measure for my Perazzi MX8s, both with EvoComp custom stocks. These gun slips, and the cartridge bag made of the same leather, are gorgeous. The finish and the attention to detail are well above par. Highly recommended (as are the belts made by Tim Hardy) !

Shipping Destinations
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
You may wish to use your own shipping company account in which case you must notify The Worcestershire Leather Company prior to placing your order.
Delivery and Availability:
Worcester, Broadway, Hanbury, Blenheim, Hereford and Quick Release belts in Black or Nut colour: 10 – 14 working days dispatch from receipt of order and payment. Wallets 10 – 14 days dispatch from receipt of order and payment.
All other products or colours normally 20-30 working days after receipt of order. we will try to contact you if we expect a delay over this amount of time.
Returns
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). If the error is a result of yours we will only refund the goods value once the goods are received in an unused /unworn, brand new condition.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply fill in our returns form. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
